Sexism by any other name is not a rose....

I haven't had a whole lot of time to digest what is going on with the possible appointment of Senator Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. What I have noticed is that the media buzz is that whether she gets it or not is dependent upon her husband? WTF? How many other candidates for cabinet positions have to jump through this hoop? Do we even know if they are married or not? Can you tell me the name of any one of them's spouse off the top of your head?
I can see that much of this nonsense is media driven, but I can also see that behind the scenes manipulation is also going on. "If Bill can't pass muster, you guys, let's give the little lady a made-up faux power position in the Senate". I'll write more about this later.

I thought Obama was supposed to bring some kind of radical change but apparently that just meant bringing back the Clinton administration lol

You have to admit, it is a radical change from what we have now. Sometimes taking off the new shoes which hurt your feet and dragging out of pair of old ones which were so comfortable and suit the situation can be change. I know the right wing pundits are pushing this meme as if McCain/Palin would be a change. LOL.

No I agree and frankly I like the Clintons better than Obama so I'm not complaining too much.. Still I'm not sure Obama will make the economy better; he may be a bit unpopular later in his term.. just my opinion.

Honestly, I am not sure what can be done for the economy other than some kind of Roosevelt type actions, but people will scream socialism. Right now, capitalism ain't getting the job done due to greed from those who live in Richistan. Citi gets a bailout while they lower the credit limit on my cards and raise the rate and I always pay on time and well over the minimum. There is something wrong when those who do right get penalized by those who f up while laughing all the way to their bank, the federal government.

The bailout of Citi is not capitalism -- it's socialism for the rich. So it's not necessarily capitalism that is failing in my opinion.

If free-market capitalism had been allowed to operate, Citi would probably be bankrupt now. The bailout represents the worst kind of anti-capitalist government interference. There are two other options: 1) socialism for the poor or 2) let the free market operate -- freely.

I'm soooo confused. LOL.
I agree; the bailout is socialism for those who abused the free-market system. Whatever we call it; it needs to be fixed and the big money people forced us to turn to the government for help. I say pull us out of Iraq; get the big oil companies to fund the automakers and quit screwing with my credit! LOL.

"the big money people forced us to turn to the government for help."

Hard to argue with that.
