Cindy McCain, STFU

This will be brief. Cindy McCain's exploitation of her son, the soldier, to take a snipe at Barack Obama was low rent. Who among the others who voted with Senator Obama also "chilled" her? Did she get "chilled" when her husband voted against funding? This faux self-righteousness on this subject is nasty and uncalled for.
She loves that son so much that she wants to keep him engaged in a war with an open ended timeline or does the idea of him coming home within a given period truly cause her so much angst? Keep the mock outrage under wraps, Mrs. McCain. This is hard to swallow from someone who committed adultery with a married man whose wife was an invalid. You want to claim the moral high ground; make sure you are standing on it first.

DJ don't you think this election is pretty much over? With the way the economy is going, I don't think McCain has much of a chance.

Yes, I think so. The economy is the elephant in the room which McCain ignored. It's finally asking to be fed and all he has is empty peanut shells.

McCain is going to lose by a lot IMHO. I'm sure some of the Hillary dead-enders are still holding out hope of him winning, but it's not meant to be. They should just hold the election now and get it over with.

LOL. That would be the Obama way, wouldn't it? Forget the rules and be done with it. But you are right, I am sick of it and we need to turn our attention to things we can do something about, such as reforming the primary process and implementing a hands-off approach to the DNC leadership until the first convention ballot is cast. Make the rules and then stand down.

"I'm sure some of the Hillary dead-enders..."

Well tinglio, as the worms turn, heh? good on yah, if your gonna go obama, go all the fucking way. Hey, why even bother with an election, this was all preordained right? As a matter of fact, didn't seem any need to even have the primary, except to appease those old hillary deadenders. Wasn't that one of tm's favorite slams? Oh the glorious heavenly choirs will be singing so sweetly in Jan.
And adultrery jack? You really have turned a new moral leaf, heh? LOL, so newt of you, when will you bring up monica lewinsky as the reason Hillary lost? Fill up on the disgusting hatred girls and boys, it should keep you all warm and toasty for the next 4 years, if your lucky 8. Good luck all, it was once a pleasure and fun, now its sickening.

Poor you, ainnj, you seem not to understand the difference between a normative and a descriptive claim. I didn't say McCain should win, I said I thought he would win, based on the facts. And you know it is not looking good for McCain, so perhaps YOU should give it up.

I don't like Obama or McCain, but at least I can accept reality.

ainnj, I would say the same thing to Bill Clinton if he started making some kind of snarky unneccessary jingoist bull shit as well. Yeah, surprise, gay people do have morals.

ainnj,

I want to make sure I read this part of your post right and not jump to conclusions that might come off as offensive to you (as others have done so often to me):

And adultrery jack? You really have turned a new moral leaf, heh? LOL, so newt of you, when will you bring up monica lewinsky as the reason Hillary lost?

So, what exactly are you saying here? It sure does read as if you are saying that because DJ is gay, he has no morals or ones that could be considered "subpar"in some way. Please explain your comments so I can further understand your point. Thanks! :)

Oh for god's sake, my comments had absolutely nothing to do with anyone's sexual choices and by the way, have I ever even mentioned what mine was? It had to do with the right wing slams on bill clinton that most of us liberal democrats were rightfully up in arms about and how now the liberal left just takes them up for their own smear campaigns. My charge of jack turning the moral leaf was meant to imply turning it to the "dark side", the side that was used to try and bring down the clintons. That to me is not moral in any sense of the word. No better than the creeps that were out to smear the clintons in the 90s. How most of us could not believe and were enraged about the crap that was spewed by the hypocritical right wing against bill clinton because of his affair, and unbelievably against Hillary Clinton and, in more recent history, similar slime against Elizabeth Edwards. But of course now anything anti-jack's beliefs must mean gay bashing, just like all those opposed to obama are racists. It's easier to justify everything that way, those who have differing opinions must be evil and vile, racists and homophobes, cue the dueling banjos music. Hey if you need to, hate me all you want if it helps you to live with yourselves and be at peace with your decisions.

by the way average jane, the homophobe baiting and snarky little post seems so out of character, you were one of the few I respected no matter what your decision was to vote.
Thanks! :)

ainnj, that is how your comment read. You may have meant it differently but that is how it came out. Now you want to carve in stone that no one can criticize me without being labeled anti-gay. Piss off with that crap. You know it's not true, so stop it.
Tell me how what I said about Mrs. McCain was a lie and then tell me how what she said about Obama's vote wasn't disingenuous and meant to smear. Then read what I wrote again, take a breath and get off that high horse you have taken to riding around the blogosphere lately.
I love your mind and your wit; remember you used to have a sense of humor. Now you are all negative and doom and gloom and argumentative. What is up with that?

ainnj,

Good grief, I merely asked you to clarify what you meant and told you how it *appeared* to me when reading. Instead of politely clarifying what you meant, you accuse ME of "homophobe baiting" and go on a negative, personal attack. Talk about snarkiness, yeesh.

Cindy McCain is a great lady. What has that nasty MO ever do for anybody????????? You don't know how Mrs. McCain feels, she may feel pride because of her son. The first Mrs. McCain was not an invalid, she was recovered from her accident.
You are just narrow minded obot.

Why do you mistake criticism of Mrs. McCain as praise for Mrs. Obama? I didn't even mention Mrs. Obama's name.
Mrs. McCain insinuates that Obama personally voted against funding to upset her. She doesn't mention that her own husband voted against funding as well. It's phony and it's vile and it's exploiting her child.
As this is my blog, I cannot be a bot. Think about it. At least I am not some paranoid hiding behind an Anonymous post.
Finally, calling someone else narrowminded after referring to Mrs. Obama in racist terms is exhibiting the same kind of faux self-righteousness Mrs. McCain did with her remarks.
